Dexgreen's indoor/outdoor cable is designed to withstand harsh outdoor environments, while also being suitable for installation indoors where compliance with fire ratings is essential.
The cable facilitates quick and efficient connection between the External Fibre Demarcation Box (where it is spliced) and the Internal Terminal equipment within the customers premises (where it is connected through a factory-tested SC/APC connector)
Water-blocking tape between the outer and inner sheathing and the inner sheathing has Kevlar to facilitate direct tacking to the wall with no deterioration in optical performance
Fibre type is bending insensitive G657B3, therefore it can go through sharp corners
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. See page 2 for details on the Application
Double sheathed cable:
Inner sheath - diameter = 2.9mm, LZZH, CPR certified (CPR rating of inner sheath - CPR Euroclass s1b d1 a2), white colour, must be suitable for fixing to wall with a staple / tacking gun, therefore will need Kevlar for strength
Outer sheath – diameter = 5.0mm, must be suitable for outdoor use, easy to peel (i.e. by hand / fingers), excludes Kevlar (reason: this is difficult to work with). Material = LSZH (low smoke zero halogen). Essential that outer sheath has low gravimetric water absorption). UV resistant for 25 years (testing must be performed). Must be fungus stabilised
Fibre properties –G657.B3 (bending insensitive). Fibre manufacturer: YOFC. No potential mode field diameter (MFD) variations. Compatible for splicing with existing network cable. See page 4 for fibre properties
Stapling / fixing / tacking to surface - cable needs to be assessed for attenuation loss when fixed / stapled (with fire proof fixings) around a number of bends (e.g. door frames) to ensure that the ITU-T G657.B3 fibre is suitable for the required application.
Labelling: can be customized to customer requirements
